Stewardship and the Pandemic
The C/SIS strives to assist congregations and households in growing generous disciples. As congregational life and individual lives adjust to new ways of thinking and being church together, we hope the following video and reproducible resources can be of some assistance.
NEW! Beginning January 28, 2021!
Pastors, deacons, and those serving as synodically authorized ministers are invited to “Stewardship First Steps,” a continuing education opportunity led by Pastor Peter Reuss of GSB Fundraising. This six-session course over five months will strengthen your personal stewardship theology and practice and equip you to lead effective stewardship in your own congregation by discovering and sharing how your congregation’s ministry impacts and transforms lives. The first session is January 28; cost is $350.
In many congregations, congregational culture stands in sharp opposition to best stewardship practices (i.e. talking about money or asking people to give). Stewardship First Steps gives pastoral leaders the tools and support needed to begin a journey towards a healthy stewardship culture. Small initial steps build confidence and momentum in the pastoral leader for more significant congregational steps in the future. For more information, read more here or contact email@example.com.
