Everyone is invited to the C/SIS Adult Faith Formation Winter Retreat, December 13-14 at Toddhall Retreat Center, 320 Todd Center Drive, Columbia. Our theme for this year is cross-generational faith formation, titled “All In Together.” Let’s listen to God, dream a lot, and create a future plan of faith formation in your church where people are all in together. In addition to our theme presentation, the retreat includes worship and fellowship.
The cost is $150 per person, including meals. Please register by November 6.
The Adult Faith Formation Winter Retreat is our annual continuing education and discernment event for synod-authorized ministry, though anyone — especially leaders involved in youth and family ministry — is welcome to join to learn more about the topic.
Our presenter is Bryan Jaster, a follower of Jesus who happens to be Lutheran and serves at a church called Bethany in Denver, Colorado. He comes from 500 years of working with cows, tries to learn one new thing each day, plays oboe, is fascinated by butterflies, loves peoples’ stories, is terrible at disc golf, thrives doing anything outside, and has a wife (Amy), daughter (Katelyn), and son (Jason). Bryan is in his 26th year living out his vocation of following Jesus alongside young people and is grateful to wake up each day excited for the adventures and challenges ahead in listening to and responding to God’s voice.
