Adult Faith Formation

The Central/Southern Illinois Synod offers opportunities to dig deeper into what faith means for daily life and direction and hosts several classes open to everyone each year. Topics include the Old Testament, New Testament, church history, Lutheran theology, Lutheran worship, and more. Certain classes are required for synod-authorized ministry students.

Classes are held via Zoom on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM with six sessions per topic over two to three months. Some classes may also offer an in-person option.

Winter Retreat

Held annually in early December, the adult faith formation winter retreat is an opportunity to join others from across the synod for two days of worship, prayer, fellowship, and learning.
