For your prayers –

As we approach our 2018 Central/Southern Illinois Synod Assembly (theme: I Am With You Always...), I welcome your prayers.  The Assembly begins at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at the I-Hotel and Conference Center, Champaign, IL.  Our Bible study leader is the Dr. Martin J. Lohrmann, Assistant Professor of Lutheran Confessions and Heritage at Wartburg Theological Seminary, Dubuque, IA.

We are offering a Free Forum Pass to any member of our churches to attend the Assembly Forums on Friday (June 8).  Simply come to the Assembly registration desk at the I-Hotel and Convention Center for your Free Forum Pass; it gets you into the forums of your choice.

Please know also that everyone is welcome at the Assembly Worship, not only those attending the Assembly.  Assembly Worship will be at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 708 W Main St, Urbana, IL, on Thursday evening (June 7) and will begin at 8:00 p.m.

We adore you, almighty and everlasting God, who has given the Holy Spirit to abide with us forever.  Bless, we pray, with the Spirit’s grace and presence, all those soon to be assembled in your name, that your Church, being preserved in true faith and godly discipline, may have the mind of Christ Jesus, who loved us and gave himself for us.  Grant that your mercy bind the assembly together in love and obedience to you, united in one body by the one Spirit, for the sake of our calling to bear witness to you in the world.  So direct the thoughts and words of the assembly that all its decisions may be pleasing to you; enable it to elect to the various offices in our synod women and men endowed with the gifts that their service requires; shine your light through the speakers, committee reports, and forums to edify and graciously enthuse the assembly for mission and ministry; and prosper through your Holy Spirit every effort to build up the body of Christ and to equip the saints for the work of ministry; through Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord.  Amen.
