For your prayers -

We as a synod and as a church body lift up in prayer Candidate Christine Salser, who will be ordained in a 5:00 p.m. worship service Friday, June 22, at Zion Lutheran Church, Rockford, IL.  She has been called to serve as a pastor of the Servants United Parish, consisting of St. Peter Lutheran Church (Dwight), Community Lutheran Church (Cornell) - her two congregations of primary responsibility - St. John Lutheran Church (Anchor), Trinity Lutheran Church (Chenoa), American Lutheran Church (Gibson City), and St. John's Lutheran Church (Sibley)

Pastor-elect Salser will be installed Sunday, July 8, 10:30 a.m., at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Dwight.  All six congregations of the parish will worship together in that service.

Eternal God, through your Holy Spirit you have called Christine to the ministry of Word and Sacrament.  Bless her proclamation of your law and gospel.  Make her a faithful pastor, patient teacher, and wise counselor.  Grant that in all things she may serve without reproach, that your people may be renewed and your name be glorified in the church.  We pray that the saints in the Servants United Parish receive her with respect and affection, and that she return the same to them, that together they may reflect the love that you have for all in Christ Jesus our Lord.  To you we give praise forever: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Amen.
