The Central/Southern Illinois Synod delights in walking with you as you engage in discipleship through faith formation events. In addition to what is available through your congregation, the synod offers opportunities to dig deeper into what faith means for daily life and direction.
The synod offers at least three classes each year that are open to everyone. Topics include the Old Testament, New Testament, church history, Lutheran theology, Lutheran worship, and more. Classes are offered via Zoom with in-person options.
An adult faith formation retreat is held annually in December. This is an opportunity to join with others from across the synod for two days of worship, prayer, fellowship, and learning.
Upcoming courses and events will be listed on the C/SIS homepage and in our bi-weekly newsletter.
Selected adult faith formation classes are required for Synod Authorized Ministry students.
