Adult Faith Formation: Introduction to the New Testament

This class will cover the basics about the history, theology, and significance of the gospels and letters of the New Testament. Learn the story of Christianity as told in writings of the New Testament and identify the major people, places, and events. You will also discuss historical, political, and social contexts and develop skills and understanding of literary themes.
This course is led by Rev. John Roth, bishop of the Central/Southern Illinois Synod.
Sessions will be held in-person at Faith Lutheran Church, Jacksonville, and online via Zoom (Zoom link to be provided).
