Adult Faith Formation: Introduction to Preaching
10th September 2022 @ 09:00 am to 12:00 pm
Develop a framework for connecting with the biblical text in order to preach good news to God’s people. Engage scripture through prayer and reflection while building a toolbox of resources for continued growth and support in the discipline of preaching. Designed for current and student lay preachers, for serving and student SAMs, and for all others who want to develop and improve their preaching.
This course is co-sponsored by the Lutheran School of Theology in St. Louis and led by Rev. Kristen Koch, pastor at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in St. Ann, Missouri.
This course is intended for those needing Synod Authorized Ministry certification credit or anyone wishing to refine the skills needed for effective preaching. Engage sacred text, discuss theological writings, and explore how our lives, experiences and identities shape how we preach in our own contexts.
